Dalers Start their Day with a Dash of Cheer and a Side of Seasonal Delight!
Amidst the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, the families of Farmingdale took a moment to bask in the warmth of the Daler community and revel in festive cheer. On the morning of December 9th, Farmingdale High School opened its doors for the annual Dalers Deck the Halls Holiday Breakfast. The joyous occasion was made possible by the tireless efforts of the Farmingdale PTA Council.
The Deck the Halls celebration unfolded with a mouthwatering hot breakfast accompanied by the beats of a lively DJ. Guests were invited to indulge in games and crafts, and write letters to the beloved Santa Claus. The event was adorned with raffles, sizzling hot chocolate, and enchanting characters from Frozen, Charlie Brown, The Grinch, and the Polar Express. The festivities soared to new heights as the iconic Mr. and Mrs. Claus graced the event with their presence, taking pictures with the spellbound guests.
Dozens of volunteers were on hand to assist with the event. Farmingdale High School theatre students were in full costume, greeting guests and posing for pictures. The spirited JV cheerleading squad and Varsity women’s lacrosse worked as Santa’s helpers, assisting young dalers at various craft stations. Farmingdale High School’s talented Caroling Choir and Chamber Orchestra serenaded the families with festive music. The Farmingdale Board of Education and district administration served breakfast to the hundreds of Dalers in attendance.
The annual holiday breakfast is a charity event with 100% of the proceeds used to purchase holiday gifts for Farmingdale families.
