Guidance
The primary function of the Guidance Department in the Farmingdale School District is to help each and every student find a learning environment that will maximize his or her potential. Certified School Counselors are available in our middle and high schools to help your child through interviews, consultations with teachers and parents, group guidance and small group counseling. Interviews may be concerned with educational, vocational, social or ethical guidance. An interview may be initiated by a student, parent, teacher, or counselor.
