Communications Office

The Communications Office plans and directs the communication of information designed to keep students, parents, staff, community members, and key stakeholders informed about school district programs, topical news, events, etc., as well as staff and student achievements. We believe that communication with our community is critical to the support and success of our schools.

The Farmingdale School District Website

The Farmingdale School District’s website is used to communicate news, announcements, calendar events, and general information. The site also includes information about the Farmingdale Board of Education, policies, and department information for staff, parents, students, and the community.

 

The Daler Digest

The District Digest is an online newsletter produced and distributed monthly during the school year. It covers news, happenings, and issues affecting all our neighborhood schools Please click here to access our archive of electronic newsletters.

 

Our Schools Newsletter

The Farmingdale School District mails out seasonal issues of the Our Schools Newsletter to every home in the district. It provides news from every school building, plus updates on athletics, music, arts, technology, and much more. Please click here to access our archive of electronic newsletters.

In addition to our seasonal newsletters, we also provide a budget newsletter every spring. It’s designed to provide you with a financial overview of the Farmingdale School District.

Your feedback and opinions are very important to us. We use a tool called Thoughtexchange to gather information from the community so that we can prioritize your feedback into our long-term planning.

 

Infinite Campus Parent Portal

The Farmingdale School District uses an electronic student management system called Infinite Campus Parent Portal. It gives parents and students access to real-time information like attendance, grades, etc. It enables parents to participate in their children's progress, and allows teachers to share information with parents and students. When large group notifications must go out, we contact families by text message using a system called ParentLink. This is used to let you know about emergency situations, remind you about school events, and more. Please ensure that your contact information is updated so you receive these important messages.
