Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK)

The Farmingdale School District is offering a UPK Program for the 2022-2023 school year. Children must be 4 years of age on or before December 1, 2022, and registered in the Farmingdale School District, to be eligible to participate. Students’ birthdates must be between December 2, 2017 and December 1, 2018.   Selection for this program is lottery-based and requires the completion of an application which must be received by Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

The UPK Program will be running half day AM and PM sessions, and classes will be held from Monday through Friday. The program will follow the school district’s school calendar. There is NO cost to participate in this program. Families are responsible for providing transportation for their child. The curriculum follows NYS Prekindergarten Standards and is taught by New York State Certified Teachers. 

Requests to enter the lottery past the deadline are unable to be accommodated. The randomized lottery drawing will be held the week of April 25, 2022. Seats are limited, and placement is not guaranteed.
